Paintings from my Travels
I have always enjoyed travelling to different countries, meeting people and experiencing the local culture. It is also important for me to record my visits using my sketch book. Drawing or painting in public in a ‘foreign’ country is a great way to meet and chat with local people - I’ve been offered many cups of tea or coffee in places over the years. I’ve also drawn my fair share of ‘on the spot’ portraits, as a means of proving my credentials!
Below are a few sketches from a visit to Syria and Lebanon back in 2002, I will be adding more work from my back catalogue soon.
